I had the pleasure of assisting and shooting a deeply personal and striking project in collaboration with a talented fashion student at Parsons, Lucie, for her senior thesis collection. Each piece in her collection held a distinct character. The pieces were both beautiful, expressive, and rich with meaning.

Lucie’s designs featured bold prints of faces and fragmented body imagery, transforming each garment into a sculptural canvas. She pushed boundaries further by incorporating unconventional materials; forks and seashells which were repurposed into one-of-a-kind jewellery and accessories. These elements added texture and narrative, blending the domestic and the natural in unexpected ways.

The shoot took place in a studio with three models wearing Lucie’s designs. To heighten the sensory impact, we used projection as part of the visual experience: old home videos of Lucie as a child were cast onto the garments, adding a deeply personal and nostalgic layer. The interplay between fabric, projection, and movement turned the shoot into a multidimensional installation
