This photo series explores Svalbard, a remote archipelago located north of mainland Norway. The five-day excursion took me cruising through the Arctic waters of the Atlantic, where I encountered dramatic mountain landscapes, towering icebergs, polar bears, and intricate ice formations.
The photographs capture the raw beauty of this icy wilderness, focusing on the interplay between nature and light. During this time of year, Svalbard experiences 24 hours of daylight, which made the trip particularly fascinating. The light shifted constantly, each hour bringing new tones, textures, and moods. The endless sunsets and sunrises painted the skies and water with magnificent colours and deep, fleeting shadows, creating an ever-changing canvas of Arctic light.
