“The unknown, Upstate”

I am investigating the urban settings and towns within these areas, where the station stops and the surrounding land. I am thinking about many themes throughout from a more mysterious and abstracted sense while also composing this fantasy world. I am embodying the “stalker”, creating feelings of someone watching you. I am not only observing the many hidden figures but I want to focus on the abstractions of nature, the reflections in the water and various isolated houses. This project is a series of small “postcard” size black and white images which represent the places and people I am observing upstate. It can both be seen as a commemoration of these adventures and as a way to slow down, taking in everything which is around in a more isolated area.
